The NMQC software application performs analysis of the basic scintillation camera quality control tests following the procedures described in NEMA NU-1 2001 standards document. It reads Dicom and Interfile file formats thus allows multiple types of QC test data coming from different cameras to be analyzed within a single application. Since NMQC enables an independent analysis and comparison of different cameras in a uniform way, it complements manufacturers' software (which performs similar functions for specific cameras).
Both planar and tomographic QC tests are implemented, allowing examination of camera performance in a number of important areas. The NMQC application is written using the Matlab environment, which has several benefits, foremost of which is cross-platform compatibility.

This software is to be used for research purposes ONLY. Before downloading the software, you will be required to identify yourself and your organization to confirm that you will be using NMQC for research use only. You will be granted a six-month license to use the NMQC software. The license is renewable, if the program is not yet available commercially. Please select the software downloading instructions, and then you will then be asked to create an account and register. When your affiliation is confirmed, you will receive an email releasing the downloading instructions for the NMQC software.
Currently, the software program is available only for Windows. If you are interested in a Linux version of the software, please contact Jennifer Flexman at jennifer.flexman@uilo.ubc.ca.
We are pleased to provide the NMQC software at no charge
to you. We hope you will consider making
a donation for a small donation ($500 or equivalent) to our Medical Imaging
Research Group (MIRG).
Please go to the following website for online donations –
http://www.supporting.ubc.ca/givingoptions/onetime.php
. On this website, please enter “I prefer to donate to: Dr. Anna Celler –
Faculty of Medicine - MIRG”.
Donations will be deposited in our MIRG account and will go EXCLUSIVELY to support our graduate and undergraduate student salaries.
Since we are an academic research group, we cannot guarantee replies to requests for technical support of NMQC. We encourage anyone wishing to use the software for delivery of commercial services or to sell NMQC on a commercial basis to contact the UBC University Industry Liaison Office for licensing or partnering.
